Kentucky Derby Jockey with Ties to Beulah Park

Jareth Loveberry Journey to Churchill Downs

The 35-year-old jockey with the nickname ‘J Love’ emblazoned on his breeches will have his first ride in the Kentucky Derby on Two Phil’s, a colt he believes is more than a lively outsider to triumph in front of Churchill Downs’ famous Twin Spires.

Jareth, a Michigan native, spent eight years racing at Beulah Park where he rode 96 winners. It was a Beulah Park where he met and married Grove City native Stacie Loveberry.

On this 149th Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs, all our bets are on Two Phil’s!
