Let us introduce you to The Harris Family. Sarah and Patrick closed on their new home within The Grove at Beulah Park in November 2021. From enjoying their park views to immersing themselves in their new community, they are a joy to know. We appreciate The Harris Family sharing what drew them to Beulah Park Living and their words of wisdom to those looking to build. We wish them many happy years and memories in their new home, and are glad to know it will play a key role in raising their family!

And now for the introduction….

Tell us a little about yourself. We have been married nearly 18 years and have 3 kids: Matilyn (13), Sydney (11) & Alexander (7). Patrick works  in manufacturing as a quality manager, and  Sarah works as a labor and delivery nurse. Our cat Tina spends time in the loft sunbathing in front of the sunny windows. Marley, our newest puppy addition, can be spotted in the neighborhood on one of his several needed walks each day. The kids attend SWCS and are active in local rec and school sports. Mati plans to return to swim team this fall after participating in trampoline and tumbling at a local gym. Sydney is currently cheering for the GCKA Senior knights. Alexanders favorite activity is rollerblading, ice skating and learning to play ice hockey.  Traveling, spending time outdoors, bike riding, taking sunset walks and college football are some of our favorite things!

Tell us more about where you live within Beulah Park  Living. We love our location at The Grove by Pulte. We have a park facing house that gets bright morning sun and great skies at night. We are enjoying watching the park develop each day from the front porch. Just like many of our neighbors, we love the Boardwalk model for its open floor plan, extensive closet space and the front porch area. We appreciate the covered porch option on the back of the house as well. The kitchen and island opening to the living room is perfect for our family and any gatherings we have had.

What drew you to Beulah Park? We have have lived in Central Ohio our whole lives and feel it is a great place to raise a family. After living in West Columbus (Galloway) for 16 years, we realized we were outgrowing our home and decided to explore moving into a larger space. Walkability, connecting bike trails and a sense of neighborhood community were on our wish list. We soon realized with the areas competitive housing market, building a home may be the route to explore in order to have more control over the things we wanted in our new house. We began looking at various builders and areas around In January of 2021.  We started looking at the plans for the park, its connectivity to the library and town, and Pulte’s model home. It was not a difficult decision to know we wanted to be part of the Grove City Community. Our neighborhood and Beulah Park’s walkable location to the town has proven to give a friendly neighborhood feeling. It checked all the things off of our wants list!

What has the building process been like and can you share any words of wisdom for those looking to build? Building a home while selling one was a definite challenge, especially with the manufacturing delays that happened through our building timeframe. Bring patience! We also would recommend considering all of the perks that come with using Pulte’s financing. We were also grateful for the Hometown Hero’s discount.

Looking to the future, what gets you most excited about being a Beulah Park resident? We have already met lots of our neighbors, many who have become friends. It is incredibly refreshing to take a walk where everyone says “hello” or waves. We look forward to watching the neighborhood grow. The completion of the park is also very exciting. We look forward to using it’s amenities like the pickleball courts, playground, and splash pad!
